JSC ‘United Shipbuilding Corporation’ is Russia’s largest shipbuilding company. It is established in line with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2007 with the 100% of shares in the federal ownership. The holding includes around 40 enterprises and organization of the industry (major shipyards and dockyards, leading project and design bureaus). Currently the USC consolidates the biggest part of the country’s shipbuilding complex. The Russian market is the main one for the state corporation, which also exports its products to 20 countries of the world.

Facts about the corporation
Created in line with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2007 in order to integrate the core of the Russian shipbuilding complex to meet the requirements of the Russian and foreign customers in high-technology and competitive products, to strengthen the defence capability and provide economic security of Russia. 100% of the USC’s shares belong to the state.
The holding includes around 40 project and design bureaus, specialized scientific and research centres, shipyards, dockyards and machine-building plants, which consolidate the biggest part of the Russian shipbuilding complex. USC’s enterprises are stretching from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, from Severodvinsk to Astrakhan, employing nearly 82 000 people.
The Russian market is the main one for the state corporation, which also exports its products to 20 countries of the world.
USC and its subsidiaries perform 95% of Russia’s contracts on the provision of naval equipment and rendering services to foreign customers in accordance with the right to act as a subject of military and technical cooperation, which was given to the Corporation
One of the USC major areas of activities is the development of production of civil vessels and maritime installations.
